Repairs

We do almost every rug repair here on site. Some repairs we perform are; sewing edges, re-dying, fringe repair or replacement, tying unraveling side cords, re tufting, etc.

This pet urine stain was not removable with normal washing, so a color restoration process was used with great results.

Repairing a moth hole in a Knotted rug requires removing old yarn, re weaving in new wool pile yarn, shearing, brushing and grooming. If done correctly the repair is as good as new and should be invisible.

Rebuilding a torn or burned off fringe requires the rug be stabilized with a wooden frame so the tension matches the rest of the rug. Foundation cords are installed first, then the fringe is built and the Kilim strip is weaved.
